Cardamom County

All Spice Restaurant

'All Spice' is the restaurant set by the open pool side. Dig into the signature Ethnic Fusion Food menu and discover taste buds you never knew you had! The Ethnic Fusion Food menu is a result of our chefs’ credo of innovation. Our chefs believe that there’s always a better way to make any dish. Naturally, new inventions happen as a side effect of this constant need to improve. And what a mouthwatering side effect at that!

The Ethnic Fusion Food menu at All Spice is a never before tried variety of delicious recipes with a delightful ethnic twist. You can choose from a variety of dishes, many of which you might already be familiar with, yet have never tasted in this unique manner of preparation.
All Spice also has an expansive open air terrace above, which can accommodate a large number of guests. It doubles up as an ideal venue for informal parties, grills and barbeques.

The Resort

The first ISO Certified four-star resort in Kerala, Muthoot Cardamom County is conveniently perched on the gradient of a gently sloping hill facing the Periyar Tiger Reserve. The architecture and landscaping of the entire Resort has been thoughtfully created in deference to the ethereal beauty of its natural surroundings. The interiors of the resort have been aesthetically designed and furnished in an appealing blend of contemporary styling and a natural charm.

There’s plenty to do when you are in Thekkady. And plenty more when you are with us! In deference to our responsibility to the environment, we’ve classified the list of activities into Carbon Zero and Carbon plus to help you make a responsible choice.

Carbon Zero activities

Eco tourism that leaves no carbon footprint at all.

Nature Walk: An interpretive programme, traversing diverse habitats of 4 to 5 kms. Offers excellent opportunity to watch birds, butterflies and other wildlife

Jungle Patrol: Part of the regular night patrolling in the fringe eco-development zones of the Periyar Tiger Reserve. By participating, you will actually be helping protect the forests of Periyar.

Border Hiking: A conservation oriented hard trek, taking up a full day. The trekking starts at 8’o clock in the morning and ends in the evening.

Bamboo Rafting: A dawn-to-dusk, range hiking and rafting programme through some of the richest forest tracts of Periyar Tiger Reserve.

Tribal Heritage Visit: A tribal museum visit, trekking through the tribal hamlet situated within the periphery of Periyar Tiger Reserve, accompanied by a tribal guide.

Periyar Tiger Trail: The program is unique in being conducted by a team of poachers who turned protectors of the forests.

Bullock Cart Ride: Conducted by a group of people previously engaged in sandalwood smuggling and later surrendered before the Forest Department to make a fresh start.

Elephant Ride: Visit to an exclusive park of elephants for rides, elephant bath, photo sessions, commands and communications, timber dragging, feeding, elephant shower and more!

Carbon Plus activities

Eco tourism, albeit not entirely free from adding to the carbon footprint.

Boating: A much loved activity amongst tourists in the Thekkady lake. You can see wild animals along the grange of the lake - foraging, bathing, drinking and resting. Timings: 7:00 am, 9:30 am, 11:30 am, 2:00 pm & 4:00 pm

Full Day Jeep Safari: The road leading to the picturesque Gavi is blanketed by tea plantations. Here, you can have outstanding trekking experiences, overseen by trained locals.

Grampi Tour: Also known as Parunthupara (eagle rock), Grampi has breathtaking views with rocky plains, lush hillsides, forests and trekking trails.

Plantation Tour: An excellent opportunity to see medicinal plants and buy garden fresh spices from the plantations.
