Traditional delicacies

An expansive glass-roofed hall, with a long balcony from where you can commune with the tall trees around you, this restaurant has an entrance modelled after the traditional aristocratic architecture of ancient Kerala. Spacious and well laid-out, the service here is prompt and polite. The dishes are made with fresh and organic ingredients. Savoury traditional culinary delights of Kerala and popular South Indian, North Indian and continental dishes may make your choice rather difficult. The sight of the tall trees swaying in the breeze, clouds over you, like puffy cotton balls in the cerulean skies, above the tall trees and the view of the distant hills playing hide and seek behind moving clouds, with the whistling and chirping of birds and squirrels will make you linger longer. A candle light dinner in this restaurant with the moon overhead and the orchestra of cicadas in full swing is an unforgettable experience.

CAFE ELAICHI

Unearthly ambience, yet closer to nature

Cafe Elaichi is a roof-top restaurant of open huts, a notch above the Hill Spice Restaurant and right under the canopy of the tall trees. You get your dishes served in the huts with the sides open letting in the perennial cool breeze. There are facilities for camp fire and barbeque under the moonlit skies. The ethereal experience will be etched forever in your memory.

MOUNTAIN SPLASH - INDOOR SWIMMING POOL

Here on the misty mountain top in Munnar, at 5000 feet above sea, under the shade of the tall trees, is an all-season swimming pool with crystal-clear waters that looks so inviting that you will probably dive right into the pleasure of a refreshing dip, at your first sight. The pool is spacious enough and elegantly furnished with creature comforts. There are expert and polite personnel to look after your needs. The main pool is kept at a controlled temperature that is warmer than the climate in Munnar.

The Jacuzzi at one end of the pool, under the cool green canopy of the tall trees, will be a pleasant surprise to the visitors. The refreshing warmth of the elegantly designed Jacuzzi will help the visitors to get invigorated by the increase in temperature which will get their blood vessels widened and speed up their blood-flow.

MOSS : THE ARENA

The Arena is an environment-friendly horse-shoe shaped amphitheatre, which is an open-air venue that can be used for cultural performances, entertainment programmes, sports and games events, and any such pleasant gathering of the visitors for collective enjoyment.

THE SHOLA TRAIL

If you want to go free with nature, if you do not want somebody to guide you along and spoil your rendezvous with unspoilt nature, you can just take a self-guided trek through the unique environment of the shola forest inside the property. You can crossthe gurgling streams and climb a hillock, sighting rare, endemic and colourful butterflies, birds and harmless little animals.

THE NATURE

If you would like to enjoy scintillating and soul-filling views of the distant blue hills over the green canopy of the tall trees, with the clouds hanging on the rocky cliffs, without going too far, there is an ideal spot, 'The Nature View Point', within the property. It gives you calendar-perfect views that will be cherished all your life, especially in the mornings and evenings.

THE EARTH

There is a trekking path, The Earth, specially kept ready for your sensitive bare feet with nothing to harm them. Feeling the throbbing virgin earth, under your bare sole will fill your soul with a sense of being one with nature. Let the outer skin of the earth be in touch with the outer skin of your bare feet and let mother earth caress you while your heartbeat synchronises with hers.

THE POST

Letter writing had been the only means of communication between distant friends and relatives up to the recent few decades when telecommunication and internet facilities took over. But, it's a great feeling to relive our sweet memories of the good old days. Picture post-cards are provided free for the visitors to send to their dear ones with a few sweet words on their enjoyment in the Tall Trees Munnar.

TEA TIME

There is a tea-tasting session every evening at the Tall Trees to experience the fine taste of various varieties of tea available in Munnar. Premium Leaf Tea, Dust Tea, Organic Tea, Orthodox Tea, Oolong Tea, White Tea, Flavoured Tea, Heritage Tea, and several types of green tea including Hand-rolled Green Tea are made and the visitors enjoy the fine differences in taste and flavour.

GROUP ACTIVITIES

With advance notice, performances by professional dance troops, live music and live cookery demo are arranged in a camp-fire area. We also have a state-of-the-art home theatre.
